Emma is imbued with the natural qualities we all desire in a versatile hunting dog. She has an outstanding nose, a desire to hunt, intelligence, a desire to cooperate, the stamina to persevere, the forward search, as well as the physical attributes which make her a formidable presence in the show ring. She is naturally staunch on her game, a natural backer, and possesses the style and animation which catches the eye of any observer. Emma is eminently trainable. She was steady to wing and shot with a few training sessions.. Fearless in her desire to search, track and retrieve from land as well as water. These abilities translate well for a truly versatile hunter and retriever.  This in and of itself indicates not only her natural abilities but also her willingness to train and work for the handler.
